Early Bird Special

After my adventures with Abba, it was time for lunch and more importantly, margaritas. I was on a mini-vacation, really just a long weekend but call it what you want to call it, an entire morning with any parent should be followed with a nice cold drink. I met up with my sister and her husband to tell them about the northern part of the island, the bluffs, funny stuff our father did and most of all to sit outside and enjoy some fish tacos and quesadillas at Mexican On The Deck.

It was a little windy that day so we didn't make our way back to the beach. A storm was brewing and you could sense it in the air. It wasn't the picture perfect beach day it had been the day before. Lesson learned, if you want to try stand-up paddle boarding on your first day when the water is calm, you should. Noted.

Instead, we relaxed and ate some more. For dinner, we headed next door to the Mexican restaurant for some fine dining at Winfield's, one of Block Island's nicer restaurants.

Sammy was not happy about it. Nobody puts baby in the corner.

He proved to be much happier next to his grandma and with a piece of bread.

We were not the only ones in the restaurant as it may appear. It filled up shortly around 7. Some of us are early to bed, early to rise and by some, I'm referring to the little guy pictured above.

Stay bitten ;)
