The Last Great Places

It has been over 5 years since my family took a "vacation" together. Life got busy for all of us and over time, our travel interests varied. For my mom's birthday we decided to all go away together. Somewhere that's relatively close where we haven't been, a place that was baby friendly and dog friendly. Ideas were tossed around, from Savannah to Charleston and eventually we landed on a place a little more north that we could essentially drive to. Block Island.

Where? I had to Google map it to find out where exactly said island was. Somewhere in between Montauk and Martha's Vineyard, lies Block Island, deemed by the Nature Conservancy as one of "The Last Great Places."

I took the ferry over to Block Island (along with Christopher Walken) to see for myself.
