Weather or Not

There are some friends you can always count on for support, for laughter, for good (and bad advice) whatever it may be. I can rely on Jill for many of those things but one constant is that I know she's always up for fun. There's no whether or not, it's where do I sign up?

Almost three years ago, I asked a bunch of our friends to hike the Inca Trail with me (unknowingly in rainy season). While there was varied interest (some made it clear they would not want to sleep in a tent, with or without me), Jill was the one who took the plunge. We knocked that off our bucket list, to this day still recalling it as one of the best travel experiences.

So with some Jetsetter credits to burn and the interest to visit somewhere I haven't been, Jill and I headed to Montauk, the very tip of Long Island. We left early Sunday morning in the pouring rain. It brought back flashbacks of our 4 day trek in the pouring rain. I was hoping this wasn't a pattern for us. But once we hit the road, twenty minutes after Noah's ark set sail, the skies opened up and the sun began to show face. Good morning Montauk.

Stay bitten ;)
