The Water Polo Club

My arrival in Dubrovnik coincided with the arrival of the Croatian Olympic water polo team. In the old town of Dubrovnik, that evening, there would be a celebration for the gold winning team. And here I thought the Croatians were just friendly and welcoming me to their great city!

It was exciting to be a part of it and to feel the energy and pride of the country for their athletes. After clapping along to some national songs in the town square, we grabbed some drinks with a friend of Kat's.

As the night grew on and my sense of time/international clock disappeared (what jetlag?) we went to a proper Croatian club. I can't remember the last time I went to a club in New York but in Europe, they know how to party and what better night that your first night to party inside a 14th century fortress. Revelin is a club inside the walls of the city and like most places in Europe, it doesn't get started until after Cinderella's bedtime.

As we were leaving, we met one of the Olympians outside the club.
And then two teenagers photo-bombed our photo.

Stay bitten :)
