You can lose track of time on vacation. Normally, I'm a bit of a planner and have a rough itinerary of where we are going and what we're doing. This time, this was not the case. Jeff instructed me to just book a flight. All I had to figure out was getting there.
Once I got there I had to leave my New York minutes behind. There was no concept of time in Croatia. You could sleep in (without the sounds of the city streets), start your day later than usual and still have a full day ahead of you, letting spontaneity lead you. From my morning in Madrid to the local beach in Pompovici, our next stop was the family-run winery on the way home.
Beach followed by a wine tasting?
I could sign up for this slower paced lifestyle. And this view.
After a few glasses of wine, it's easy to know what time it is...
We returned back to the house all buzzed and quickly washed up for dinner. Kat's mother prepared a lovely meal for us on the terrace. Not bad for a first day? An al fresco dinner with the sun setting over the cyprus trees. It was soon replaced with a star filled sky, day had turn into night and it was only just beginning.
Stay bitten ;)
