Smooth Sailing

We walked by the yachts in Cavtat joking with Tom that one of these would be our mode of transportation for the day. Instead, we hopped on a significantly smaller water taxi heading to the Old Town. From there, we would board a slightly larger boat. Whatever floats our boat, we were fine with it. I can't complain when I'm spending the day at sea with such a great group of people.

The boat trip included lunch, drinks and a stop at 3 different islands. Although a bit touristy for my taste, it was a nice way to package a lot into one day. Plus, the fresh fish we had for lunch made it all worth it. They were generous with their servings and the guys got to have seconds of fish that they must have caught earlier that morning.

The sandy beach was reachable by golf cart and worth it.

I'm the king of the world!

There was a lot of down time on the boat and unlimited boxed wine. So we had some fun. And played drinkopoly, an app on Amalia's phone that was as entertaining for us as it was for the rest of the passengers on the boat.

We came back to the house for pizza and prosecco on the terrace with Kat and her family. Her brother Alex had just arrived from the states so we let him rest for a few minutes but shortly after dinner, we went back into the Old Town to hang out at the bars. As large as Dubrovnik proved to be, like New York, you realize it's a small world after all. We ran into our friend from the winery and enjoyed drinks with his group of friends.

Stay bitten ;)
